Maybe it's cliche what this brings to mind. But I see an old vet telling war stories to a rapt audience of one.

I love the light here, from the sun shining on the older gents face to the shadows on the secondary character and the bottle of beer between them.

    Beautiful shot.

Ditto on other's comments. Looks like you captured him lost in memory, reminiscing about times past...

Talking about memory... have we seen this main subject before?

Rainbow, do you mean this man or the subject of remembrance? This man spoke German. Don't know where he's from - Germany or Austria. The young man he's speaking with is Austrian. I chatted with him some time later.

Like the others, the lighting was super on this.

I also think there were some other elements in there I liked, like the intent stare of the guy on the right and the non-assuming look of the older gentleman who appears lost in thought. The beer between the two connects them both. Intentional or not, I like how it came together.

Beautiful picture, Patti. You can read so many, varied stories into this shot. And that's neat. I'm equally impressed with your presentation of the image. Well done.clap.gif

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
