The Tulip (IKEA style)

Was playing around with a tulip from the vase and eventually my fave edit was a square crop in B&W for that sort of "IKEA" look.

Thanks Craig - it's not to shoddy... The B&W lifts some texture compared to the colour version.

Both are excellent shots Paul and although I am not a massive fan of b&w I do like what you have done on the tulip - very nice.

I'm torn between using one in the camera club competition - three categories to choose from which are "Open Colour", or "Open Monochrome" or the free-choice "Digital Projected".

The problem is, which image should I use (can only be used once, so I need to decide on the category to enter it under).

Perhaps I should have added a poll to the thread, lol...

Hmm, difficult choice, but if it were me, I would go with the monochrome.

I honestly like both of them. B&W has always fasinated me but Color can not be beat either.
