Great shot.......did you hand hold, or use a tripod ?
I keep saying I'm going to have a go at shooting the moon, but I still haven't got around to it yet........nicely captured on your part...... Skippy (Australia)

You are going to laugh if you reread my desciption "Here is the moon shot handheld..."

Anyway here is another handheld. This time from Moorea on the other side of you in Australia. With the Canon 100-400 IS and the old 2M pixel DCS520 (Canon D2000).

I do apologize.......I did read that heading and went straight to the image.....heading didn't register in my head rolleyes1.gif silly me.

I see folks often post saying that the moon fractures, like 1/4 or 1/2 moon or cresent look better than a full moon shot, but I like them all, especially if they are detailed and the craters are quite visible.
Thanks for sharing ........ Skippy (Australia)

Thanks Andy. I have been shooting a bit but haven't had time for posting. I'll try to do some catching up. In the meantime they are mostly not my pictures but you can see photos from my wedding
