Calibrator advice

I'm working mainly with Nikon Capture NX2 (sometimes PSE 8) on an Intel 21.5 inch iMac dual core running Lion. Can someone recommend a monitor calibrator? I was working with i1 Match until I switched to Lion and overnight the calibrator was made obsolete.
I don't do professional printing so I usually get my printing over the net. I was reading one blog where an iMac owner was bemoaning the fact that he couldn't dim his iMac monitor sufficiently for calibration to be entirely effective. He recommended xrite =plus= a software program called ColorEyes. But that's an outlay of +/- $350. This sounds excessive to me considering the type of work I do. Suggestions welcome and thanks in advance.

You should be considering one of these....
X-Rite i1 Display Pro
X-Rite Colormunki Display
Datacolor Spyder4 Pro or Elite

Many thanks, Newsy. I'll check to make sure they're compatible with Lion. When Lion decided it was going to trash Rosetta it threw a wrench into my iMatch Display 1. Keeping fingers crossed.
