My wife and I went around N.W. Ohio on saturday to get some photos of some of our local parks and the wonderful colors that they hold. This is only one of the many photos that she had taken, and she would like to share it with everyone to see what you think, this is "not a whipping post" but she would like to know the truth. Please be honost and injoy.
Thank you for your time - Bob and Jenn

    Hello Jenn :D

I went to your smug site and looked at the original - gorgeous shot - really eye candy. It can be improved imo by a touch of added contrast via a very slight curves adjustment in photoshop - it'll bolden the colors, too. I did notice that the original is a bit oof, and I'm wondering if perhaps the autofocus grabbed on something really near... at f/8 you'll want to be focusing at least halfway into your scene - esp a scene like this.

    Thanks for sharing!

    I like it.
I love fall colors. That is the one thing that I miss about the midwest is the change of seasons and the colors associated with it. ( I live in the desert southwest now)

It's a matter of taste, but if you use a longer shutter speed (1 -2 seconds) it will smooth the ripples in the water out and give you more of a mirror effect. But it's strictly a choice, not an undeniable rule of photography.

    Thanks for sharing.
