Its not perfect due to the shadow, and unfortunately our toddler was about to run off, but I was just pleased with myself for going a bit beyond the "see thing, shoot thing" mindset that often results in boring shots of whatever it is that we see. I've got tons of them.
The other day I was in the Denver Museum of Science and we saw this big fish skeleton. I decided to try putting my flash inside the model. Unfortunately, it was dificult to get the slave window on the SB-600 to see the onboard D700 flash. I'm a bit unhappy I left my radio trigger set behind. So my wife held the flash inside the fish head, and tried her best to line up the sensor. I shot a few shots and then had to chase after the toddler.
But anyway, here's the shot. Speedlight aimed back at the wall I think, though I tried it both ways.
