I thought I had it decided, my entries for the Open mono Print competition this week. But I took another yesterday which i like, too!

So, if anyone has thoughts

I'd stick with the original choice. While I sort of like the two women checking out the sculpture, most of what makes the shot interesting is due to the work of the sculptor, not the photographer. The first shows off your skills better.

Yes, that is a valid thought, and something that is going around atour club at the moment - whether a picture of a statue or art work is actually the work of a photographer.

    Cheers

    Like the lock.
Clean the white area off the right and the bottom right.

Thanks. I printed both and will make final choices in a while...I cropped and cloned a little on the lock to lose the brightness in places. They both look great in print, so I'm still in two minds...

I will let folks know what I decided and whether it was the correct choice after Wednesday nights competition. :)

I vote for the lock also, for the above reasons--it is your work.
