Random Thumbnails Missing

No matter what page I go to on my website (www.acecootephotography.com) there are some missing thumbnails. In its place I see the gallery name and number of galleries and number of photos.
Happens on home page/any categories page/any sub-categories page/any gallery.
If I reload/refresh the page, it is a different combination of missing thumbnails. Just keeps changing randomly every time I reload.
Problem occurs whether I am logged in or not.
Problem occurring with both Firefox (10.0.1) and Explorer (9.0.8112.16421)
Running Windows 7 Home Edition
Updated Firefox yesterday.

Hmmm ... doesn't seem to be happening on my desktop computer - just my laptop?????

I'm seeing the same thing on many of my pages. The places where I'm seeing this problem is where I'm requesting random thumbs.

I've attached a screen shot from my "gallery" page (at http://www.denisegoldberg.com/gallery/4859541_NYqCo). I've seen it on other pages too.

Just noticed it is happening on other people's Smugmug web pages that I have just been looking at. Random thumbnails missing in galleries and as Denise has shown with her screen shot for category and sub-category pages. Very strange.

Sorry folks, we started noticing it too on the help desk. We have alerted our ops folks and we are investigating. We will do our best to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.

Thanks for the "heads up" ... at least I know it isn't just me going crazy.

You're probably already aware of how far the problem spreads, but just in case, here are a couple of other examples. I've included a partial "snip" from the captions / keywords page below.

If I request a full screen slideshow, some of the thumbs just show black squares, and when the slideshow reaches a blank square it just stops.

Empty photos are also shown in lightbox:

Yup, our engineers spotted the problem and fixed it just now. Sorry for the brief hassle.

Unfortunately - the problem is back.

I've seen it again in running full screen slideshows.

I've also see it in this gallery - http://www.denisegoldberg.com/Travel/California-2012-01/Joshua-Tree-wanders/21403937_RtKKL3 (screenshot attached), others too. Interestingly enough, the blank space on the right is for the first photo in the gallery, a photo that shows a thumb as opposed to a white space.

Denise, Can you try clearing your browser cache and see if it is still happening. I have seen that help with some of the users reporting after the fix. I will also respond to your email to make sure we keep this on the radar.

Sorry about that Doc!

Clearing the cache did solve the problem. I didn't try that (I know better, I should have immediately cleared the cache) since the galleries that were showing the problem are galleries that I looked at after the fix was applied - and they looked good. So they looked good, then bad. Now they look good again.

I am seeing blank thumbnails and red X's randomly in every gallery I look at. Win 7, IE9. I didn't see the problem on the 13th, but it is bad today.

I have same problem with missing thumbnails in all galleries on multiple browsers and multiple PC computers. I see the same issue for a friend's SmugMug site.
