Deleting stuff, came across this from a Polaroid shot, taken by my wife (current)

London buildings were black from high sulfur heating fuel. It's where the term acid rain could be accurately applied

Down in Belgium, We found the doctors excellent and the hospital free

Paris was full of motorized bicycles (very few cars). An American's definition of a urinal with hot & cold flush, was defined by the French as a Bidet.

The top speed at the Monacan Gran Prix was about 160mph

The Costa Del Sol had black lava sand

Tangiers had more cripples (Thalidomide) per block than anyplace I had ever seen then or since. Unrefrigerated meat sold by street vendors, needed the fly's hit off to see the color of the cut.

In northern Africa, a sand storm from the Sirroc could move a loaded motorcycle 2 up sideways (frequently)

Lisbon had fantastic patisserie, rivaled the French

The bike shipped to NY and driven to Denver in 5 days

I bought my first SLR (Canon AE1) for the trip with at least a dozen rolls of film. Not one image came out because of my fumbling film threading skills. Didn't use the camera after that, the next (d)slr was 2006
