This may be a off the wall question but I am needing to allow my clients to download some file's (pdf's and some others). My ISP gives me enough space to store the files that are needed. I can put a link in my smugmug site for them to be download. My problem is how do I set up my isp's space to serve the files for me? The space is for a personal site so you can just set it up with html. I know nothing about html. I was thinking of using it as a ftp site of sorts. I can upload the files there and link them from my smugmug site. So I guess my question is what html do I need to create the site? its just for file hosting so the files can be downloaded from my smugmug site. I have KompoZer that I use to create HTML pages but I don't know how to create a storage site that I can just like ftp to and put files on that I can link to.

Check out dropbox http://dropbox.com You get 2G storage for free. After you sign up just put you want you customer to have in drop box folder you make for them and send them an invite. I use it all the time to share files with customers.
