Glue vs Staples with Hahnemühle Gallery Wraps

Hello,
I've been using the standard Hahnemühle archival glue when creating gallery wraps with the Hahn stretcher bars.
Recently, a friend questioned this, advising staples instead. My first thought was that glue provides for a much more even, neat edge, but now I'm not so sure.
Has anyone used staples, rather than or along with glue, on the Hahn (or other) stretcher bars? Any opinions on which you liked most?
