This was our favorite lake in the parks. It's breathtaking, and when the sun is right on the water, it's color is true to it's name.

Everyone gets all excited about Lake Louise, but Emerald Lake is equally, if not more, beautiful for sure! Glad you found it.

While I wouldn't turn down looking at any of those beautiful lakes, Emerald Lake is our favorite. We were very lucky the first time we stopped by, the lake had no ice, but no tourist (other than us rolleyes1.gif) around. It was pretty early in the season. The second visit, busses and busses full of tourist. No way could you get a good picture with all those folks around.

But I've got to admit; while I think I did a decent job with the images, they in no way convey the true beauty that you behold while there in person. You owe it to yourself to see this area in person thumb.gif

Sweet shots, Randy. I prefer the second one. That reflection is way too good to cover up.

I love the POV on the first shot. To me it's crying out for a selective coloring of the canoes with a B&W conversion on the image. Great shot!

I like the composition on the second one. The color looks a bit odd though… did you really crunch these with HDR? It looks HDR to me. ne_nau.gif

No HDR. All processing done in LR with the exception of PS to clone out a dust bunny.

Thanks for looking and your comments!
