This was our favorite lake in the parks. It's breathtaking, and when the sun is right on the water, it's color is true to it's name.

While I wouldn't turn down looking at any of those beautiful lakes, Emerald Lake is our favorite. We were very lucky the first time we stopped by, the lake had no ice, but no tourist (other than us ) around. It was pretty early in the season. The second visit, busses and busses full of tourist. No way could you get a good picture with all those folks around.

But I've got to admit; while I think I did a decent job with the images, they in no way convey the true beauty that you behold while there in person. You owe it to yourself to see this area in person
