Went out to feed the cat and get my wife's car out of the barn for her. I thought to myself, it was nearly 50F yesterday, and it's freezing now. I wonder if the water on the bottom of the stock tank froze into funny shapes again? It did. What followed was a mad dash; finish chores, get camera, tripod, and trusty LED flashlight in a race against the sun.
