Scott... where are you finding that data? I'm interested, and have the Nikon SB800 and SB600.

I love the OmniBounce and have used it on a 420EX and a 580EX.

One clarification -- it may extend the flash width coverage but it does not extend the flash range. On the contrary, it reduces exposure by 1-2 f/stops so actually cuts maximum flash range at least in half. But, it's worth it! Especially on people photos, it really cuts the harsh shadows, like having a mini umbrella or softbox.

The OmniBounce is especially convenient because you can leave it on your flash all the time ... unlike some of the other options out there (Lumiquest comes to mind), where you have to remove the device to put the flash back in your camera bag.
    Canon EOS 7D ........ 24-105 f/4L | 50 f/1.4 | 70-200 f/2.8L IS + 1.4x II TC ........ 580EX
Supported by: Benro C-298 Flexpod tripod, MC96 monopod, Induro PHQ1 head
Also play with: studio strobes, umbrellas, softboxes, ...and a partridge in a pear tree...
