'Most recent' Option on Category/Gallery Sort changed?

I noticed yesterday that galleries within categories seem to be sorted in reverse now, or just mixed up randomly. :scratch What's changed? I can't find anything anymore. :cry

We didn't change anything..... are you having difficulty in sorting your galleries?

Hmmm...something's changed because I didn't change anything either.

By default my galleries are sorted within categories by the 'most recent' option. This used to have the most recent galleries at the end, but now I think they're all at the top. I think all that's happened is the sort direction has been reversed, but I'm not completely sure because I think I've found some galleries that don't seem like they follow this theory. I thought it might have just been one category, but it's every one. I don't think there's a site-wide feature control for this in my control panel and am thinking it's more of a homepage setting if anything, but I can't seem to find anything.

It's making it really difficult to find things since I'm used to the oldest stuff at the top and scrolling down for to what I'm working on. Thank you in advance for any help Andy!

Hmmm...something has definitely changed. I just noticed on the dropdown box to move a photo that it's also sorted backwards compared to how it used to be.

I have to disagree. For as long as I can recall, "most recent" (at the top left of the galleries / gallery categories box on your homepage) meant that the latest updated categories/galleries are up top. New ones are added at top.
If you change the sort to "position", then your individual position is applied with new/updated categories/galleries showing at the *bottom*.

Checking on my own site, this still applies.

I'll have to double-check if I have the categories sorted by most recent or position, but I don't recall a way to change all of these sort parameters to all the categories at once, which is what might have happened.

Sort by most recent or position is an option only available on your homepage galleries / categories box and applying for your whole site. You can't change the setting for individual categories.

Yep, it somehow got changed again. Weird. It's only auto-changed like this twice since I've been with SM, but I'll watch this more closely when I run into any weird gallery sorting. Thank you for the assistance.
