The hawk that has decided to visit my backyard, just about everyday, has finally been caught in the act:

I wish it had a taste for squirrels instead of birds.

I wish I had some "big bird" lenses. :rofl

Thanks. I used my 300L f/4 with my 2x extender mounted on my 7D (manual focus), on a mono-pod, peeking out my patio door. He was actually eating his snack in the neighbors tree, quite a bit away from me.

He spends quite a bit of time sitting on our swingset and bathing in our drained / collapsed pool. He/she sits in the water (only a few inches) sometimes for an hour or so. headscratch.gif

I think one of these little guys....

    ....was lunch.

Here are a couple of more shots, without the 2x adapter, of the hawk, and yes they are cropped.

Good captures Jeff and a pity about the squirrels too.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
