Oil and Water in Macro!

Hello everyone! It has been quiet some time since i posted here! Wow! This must be a popular subject! I just noticed the thread a few down where this subject was also shot! Used a piece of glass, desk lamp, baby oil, and water. Trying to get some abstract shots and really like the way these turned out! TFL!

#8 & 9 are my favorites. Great work. I love doing stuff like this. Colored smoke, different fluids (alone & combined) dyes & gels, etc. I actually made a light box for just such work.

Thanks everyone! Rob, yes I really enjoy doing this as well! Especially in the winter when there is nothing interesting to shoot where I live and the wind is blowing too hard to even go outside!

I'm not a fan of the cold myself. I prefer to stay in and shoot with the desktop studio or light box.

These are really excellent. Very different. I particularly like #7 - good contrast and colour, and #8 - I can see two worm like creatures with strange heads (that's what two glasses of Napa Valley does!:D) But they are all good.
