I know this is old hat for some of you... but it's a new hat for me :thumb...
...I think this OOB is mighty fun stuff...
What do you think in general about the technique?

You nailed the race kart. Awesome re-work.
Please feel free to post any reworks you do of my images. Crop, skew, munge, edit, share.

Race cart is just slightly beyond spectacular. Love the curl in the print, hell I love everything about it.

I didn't know what OOB stood for (just googled it, so now I do). So, I guess it's even newer hat for me. Nice work. Very fun.

Your most excellent results with this race car shot (the first oob that I've seen that really wowed me) motivated me to try one of my own.

My results were so-so. One of the things I really liked about your effort was the bend or curl you gave the "original" image. I couldn't figure out how to do that. Care to share what tool or process was used to do that?

Love the car. I've played a little bit with OOB stuff but that is far beyond anything I ever did!

I'll add to the love of the cart shot! Very well done! Someone posted a how-to here ages ago (like several years back) and I played with OOB a little. It's a neat effect when you have the right shot for it - and it clearly works for the cart.

No, not on the checkered flag, but the original photograph part that the car sits in. It has a bend or curl to it as it sits on top of the flag, rather than just the straight lines of a photograph. I like that.

Great effects. The racecar is definitly more impressive. I like the effect on the first picture too, but i guess i feel like there needs to be more of a background or something to make it worthwhile (as is it just feels empty).

Doug, thank you for this idea. I was looking for something different to draw in more seniors.

I found this link on it http://www.agaraga.com/photoshop-tutorials/oob/

Charles... That's why I come here... it's the sharingiloveyou.gif... i also use this place in lieu of monthly PPoA & AA meetings. thumb.gifwings.gif
That's a great link you shared... there is a plethora of videos on YouTube too.
I think this is fun stuff...
I'm playing with Smart filters today to see if I can resize the frame rather than having to start over if i don't get the frame correct the 1st time... if that makes sense...
