OK. That Honolulu pic is gorgeous! That climate variation sounds great too.

And, I agree, the hot tub would be key.

Lastly, loving googling all of these places!!!

Page, Red Lodge, Springdale, Kanab, Missoula, Glacier...is it too much to ask to have a modest cabin in each place!!!

    I remember that trip, Aaron!

Mylo even says hi to me on FB clap.gif

I love the southwest, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico are all good, but this conversation is limited I think to the continental US.

There is some pretty fine scenery in Africa too, though........

So many choices...Utah would be nice, Montana would be great, Vancouver / Seattle area could be great, Maine would be pleasant.....but I live in SoCal and cant complain!

1 hour to the ocean, 30 minutes to the mountains, 90 minutes to Joshua Tree NP, 3 hours to the Sierras, 3 hours to Big Sur, 3 hours to Death Valley, 6 hours to Yosemite, 6 hours to Zion. Desert, mountains, ocean....its awesome!

Jim my Bro, long time man! miss ya!
:D IMO what was key to Hunts Mesa was the population count......

Greg, seriously ? you're ready to move across the nation?
From what I gather of your industry, you might like Vegas.... it's not too much to drive to anything/everything photogenic out here west of the Mississippi....

oh also, you can buy a nice place @ 50% off inflated prices....

It's funny that just the otherday I was thinking about visualizing a map that recorded all my running around and I started to feel pathetic.... I'm on a virtual island myself, so my friend,..... touché :D

Northern Arizona, southern Nevada or southern Utah for me. Pretty much anywhere interesting in the southwest is within a day's drive of those locations. If I had to narrow it down further than that, I think Page, AZ would win out.

Lots to like about the Bishop area. You got Vegas nearby, the Sierras in one direction, the White Mountains in the other. Peace and quiet in between :D
