Lumiquest Softbox flash diffuser (NEW)
asking: $23 (with free shipping in U.S.)
This is a great flash diffuser for shoe-mount flashes, designed to soften shadows a lot without interfering with exposure sensors or autofocus assist beams. It should fit almost any shoe-mount or handle-mount flash.

Subj.
I got it!
Funny thing - I don't even have the flash unit yet (still saving for it:-)
But this was too good of a price to pass up on it:-)
Cheers!
I don't like you!!!

Just out of curiousity, what did you not like about the softbox?
- Convenience -- My Sto-fen OmniBounce can stay on the flash all the time, so I can whip it out or stuff it back in my camera bag quickly. The Softbox has to be removed from the flash and folded up to fit in my bag ... and it takes a few seconds to install when I pull the flash out.
- Subtlety -- if I'm trying to shoot somewhat-candid photos (not that any shots with a flash can be COMPLETELY candid), the OmniBounce is smaller so draws less attention than the larger Softbox. The Softbox makes me look like more of a "pro", which is not always desireable because some subjects find that more intimidating/inhibiting.
From examination, I suspect that the Softbox would produce somewhat softer illumination, probably with less light loss, than the OmniBounce. However, either of them is a LOT better than using a "naked" direct flash.= Dave
