Nice shot, Don. Finding scenes like this is the reason I cruise the Appalachian Mountains as much as I do.

I'll be watching for scene like this out there when I'm RV'ing in a couple months. thumb.gif

Lot of material to shoot there! :D

Thanks, Mary. No, I didn't. For various reasons I couldn't spend much time there.

I reworked this and I think I improved it.

I like the re-worked one. More color to it and shows more depth thumb.gif

It's hard when you come across a find like this and can't spend a whole lot of time there. Hopefully you'll get to return sometime.

"It's hard when you come across a find like this and can't spend a whole lot of time there." I was on a trip with my wife. I've learned that there are photography outings and there are outings with my wife, and the two must be kept separate. She's very patient, but watching me kneel and walk around and attach filters and fiddle with a tripod, etc., is not her idea of a good time. :D

I find too I do best out on my own. Even tho my hubby is my 'lens getter-tripod set upper' -- I always feel rushed.

Thanks very much. No, black and white never occurred to me on this one but I'll try it.

PS: And I did, but I prefer the color version.

Very nice post processing Don. I love the multitude of shapes and colors here. Lots of rusty metal there and I'd love to see it after a full "Rust Junkie" treatment. It's the perfect subject for it.
