I love this shot. Not long ago, I flew an SNJ variant and had a real ball. The senses really reel when you're looping through the skies in one of these planes.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
I stopped at that same airport - on 441 between Apopka and Eustis - last week, but that
plane was hangered, but the door was open. I stopped in the hanger and talked to a guy there,
but the planes really weren't in a position to shoot them. I shot the cockpit of a stick plane he flies,
but it's not a particularly good shot.
You were lucky to catch the plane outside. There are several interesting planes hangered
there, but only that old Pan Am plane is always available to shoot.
Back when I had a private pilot license, I've landed at that airport. There used to be a
large dip in the runway that made for an interesting touch-down. I think they fixed it.
Nice aircraft shot!
... and good to see SmugMug bringing folks together in a way their own camera club can't!
Average attendance is about 80. Even though we wear nametags,
it's too big a group to know that many other members. I doubt if
"Flyjets1" is on his nametag, and I look slightly different from my
avatar here.
What he might do is recognize some of the subjects and locations
where photos I've posted in the DGrin forums were shot.
Thanks to all. I don't consider myself to be a very good photographer... although i do try.
I've been flying aircraft for 33 years so that's what I normally gravitate to. Been flying military fighters and heavy transport jets and simply can't get enough of it.
stop by www.500px.com/flyjets and give some of my pix a thumbs up if you have the time.
By the way... 500px.com is one of the fastest growing photo sharing sites on the web...the photographic talent there is often mind blowing...

This wasn't shot at Apopka. It was taken at Sun n Fun a year or two ago.
I belong to the Orlando Camera Club (www.orlandocameraclub.com). Very active with more than 600 members. Stop by some time.
