Here in RP people go to the cemetery and pay respects to the dead. So my wife's family and I went to Barili to vist her mother's grave.

All shots were with the 1DMII and the 24-70 f2.8. Minor cropping, levels, and sometimes curves adjustments.

My Mother-in-Law paying respects...

She went alone to the shrine at the top of the hill.

An itinerant worker came by and for 20 pesos ($.36) offered to cleanup the grave.

Progress with the grandchildren watching.

A child does the lettering. We gave him an extra 10 pesos.

The grandchildren pitch in and help.

Sweet series. I think the last one is great showing the kids helping to restore the site. I like the angle too...looking down as if someone else could also be looking down to see this. :)

Thanks. Looking down was the only real chioce I had as the cemetery is very crowded. The last shot though is a trick perspective. I rotated it 90 degrees from the actual shot.
