Ladybird & a Jumping Spider

This little one made an appearance as I was taking photos of the spider, so I popped her onto a branch of the apple tree and awaited the right moment.
By this time, the grey clouds had moved in a the light went flat and dull, so I had to ramp up the ISO to 800, which meant I had to apply some noise reduction to the final image.
Came out OK though I think.

This little girl caught my eye as she moved across the flagstones in the back garden today. To make sure she stayed, I had to pop a Tupperware lid over her while I went inside to grab my camera and get the extension tubes on to the lens.
She was of course, waiting to run off as soon as I lifted the lid, but after moving six inches or so, she stopped and turned to look at me - a challenging stare from all 8 of those dinner plate eyes!
If you look closely, you can see the door to the house reflecting in them!
Managed to get 4 reasonable shots before she high-tailed it away.
C&C as always.
