Another Hellebore (zzzzz....)

This is a stack (using Helicon Focus) of 6 manually focused shots. The flower is from our garden. Shot indoors using a single studio flash head with softbox diffuser. I think I had an extension tube on as well, but I can never remember these fine details... Canon 5DM2 Sigma 105mm macro.

Wow, I just realized Ive spent at least five minutes staring at this photo so I figured Id better give you some props and thanks for giving me such an enjoyable time. Love this for so many reasons. Its entrancing no doubt.

It is a bit intense, isn't it. At first I thought it a bit over the top. But there was not much processing done here. The impact of it is mostly down to using the studio flash with the soft-box diffuser which creates a very vibrant effect without any harsh light.
