prevent pinning

I would like to prevent the images in my galleries from being pinned to pinterest.

Is there a way to add the <meta name="pinterest" content="nopin" /> meta data tag to my smugmug galleries to prevent the images I have uploaded from being "pinned".

Apparently pinterest, like a some other picture sites, strips all the metadata, including copyright, from any images that are uploaded, i.e. pinned, to it.

You can put that in your Head Tag, advanced customization. Also, images that are right-click protected won't be pinnable. We have this right here on our help pages, btw: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93274

And, for any that do NOT want their images pinterested, regardless of RCP on or off, you can add this to your head tag of advanced customizing:

It looks like even if the image does have metatdata pinterest strips it.

Of course we do, and have for a long time now. Pinterest strips out the metadata from our Display Copies, which is a bit of a bummer.



Go look at the exif. My copyright info is in there. And my name, website, etc.

Pinterest does seem to strip it out, for sure:
