Ok, so here are some pictures from Waimea Bay (North Shore Oahu), during a recent high surf. biggest challenge with these pictures was dealing with the salt spray. Constant cleaning, using a polarizer, and waiting for breaks in the clouds and braking waves helped. Anyone have any other tips for conditions like that?

#6 Looking along the shore was the most difficult as you were shooting into more depth of salt spray. I had trouble getting a clearer picture of the waves on these rocks :-(

I need an ocean fix obviously .
I like 4, puts the wave size into perspective.

No, not that I saw. Have you been to the north shore during one of the events? It is a mad house and can take hours to get in and out (there is only one two lane road). I haven't ventured up there during any of the big events yet for that reason, but I know I need to before I leave ;-)
