First off, I can't say enough good things about our Mod. Harry.

While visiting his neck of the woods, Harry played tour guide, chef, and all around great guy.

Thanks Harry, or should I be thanking your wife for letting you out to play.:D

We made it to the Wetlands 2 times together, then I made it in the morning of day we left.
Although the times with Harry were good. Thanks to the coaching that Harry gave me, I got some
nice shots on that morning before we left.

I have only processed a couple of them, but I add a few more shots later.

First up, a white ibis eating breakfast.

This was one of the shots I was hoping to get.

Thanks Harry.

I'm thrilled that you got the caracara captures you wanted and I'm ticked that you got them when I wasn't with you. I'll try not to hold it against you.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and Mrs. V and to shoot with you.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Wonderful behavioural shots Dave. Also really like the backgrounds in the first three and the aquamarine of the Cormorant's eye in the last one, great pose too ;^)

Congratulations on the caracara shots. Very nice. Until three years ago I lived and worked in the Melbourne, FL area and I made numerous trips to the Viera Wetlands. I really miss shooting there. I never got close to the caracaras and never saw them on the ground like you captured. You did exceptionally well on your first trip.

I've never seen one, but are you sure your Ibis is not a Limpkin?

    Very nice photos btw.
