Private captions?

I have set up a smugmug site for our Scout troop. BSA standards restrict identifying youth members on a publicly accessible website by first and last name. For history's sake, I'd like to caption the pics with the Scout's names. Is there a way to caption a pic, but that caption would only be visible for visitors that are logged in, not general viewers?

You can hide the captions with CSS but they'd still be in the page source. I'm sorry that there's not a way to do this.

Are you asking about logged in visitors to the site? If so you can head to the customization threads and ask for help with the customization needed to hide the captions. That always works for hiding them amd does not make them totally invisible. They can still be seen in the code.

If you are talking about logged out visitors then it is not possible at this time. Please accept our humble apology.

Thanks for the replies. That's about how I figured it. We are just going to use numerical codes referenced back to a roster in the password-protected area of our website.
