First time ? Very nice set. You managed, to get a well defined eye in every shot. Can be hard to do on a bird with a black face. Number 4 is my favorite. You have nice light on the eye. The creamy background is great, and the color of the bird is dead on. I hope you continue to post here.

Not too bad for a rookie. :D Maybe we can steal you away from those bugs.

Your expertise shows ,focus comp & detail very nice work .Bifs are not something you just point and shoot .Lots of photo folks think oh that is easy ,it is but all you will need is to work at it .Start with bigger birds and slow flight --you will nail it fast.

Nicely done. Good clean BGs on every one. Yes the BIFs take a bit of practice. Go to a dump or down to the docks if you live seaside and practice on gulls, pigeons, etc. With your obvious skill level it's just a matter of keeping them in the viewfinder.

PS: Maybe I'll have to practice on some bugs. It sure seems to have done good things for your bird photography! Best, Pam

Those are amazing shots. Did you use a tripod to take them?
