Google Webmaster Tools and sitemap question

I know that a sitemap should automatically be sent to Google (per Andy, I think). But when I go to the Dashboard, through Webmaster Tools, it shows that there are no sitemaps for my site. Should I be doing something to get a sitemap loaded?

Please forgive me if I sound less than knowledgeable about this stuff...it's because I basically am

But Nick, the point is that Google Webmaster Tools is no longer automatically picking up SmugMug sitemaps. Started about a month or so ago (worked fine before that).
