I already entered the first shot, as I wasn't sure how my time would be towards the end of the challenge, but now have some extra time & possibilities. Comments please:

I like #5, but think it could be brightened a bit. Cute kitty!

Thanks for the comments Jenn, Lisa, Karin, Keith & Chris. Keith - that may be the best shot I've ever taken of that fish - & I love the background bokeh & colors in that shot. Guess I was a little bit surprised by the other responses because to me the last shot seems technically inferior - it's in focus, but because of the iso being so high it isn't as crisp, but def has the cute factor. So I've been shooting more & trying to get more light & focus on the eyes. Here's a few that I think are better - comments please.

I like 8 best... 6 & 7 have to much reflection in them which is kinda distracting IMO. I wish I could get my cat to actually look at me when I have a camera in my hand. Laughing.gif

Thanks Lisa - I see what you mean by the reflections - really hard to get a good shot of eyes without any though. So here's a photoshopped version of #6 - better?

My vote would be for 2. Amazing shot and it grabed my attention as I was scrolling down to look at the different images.

    Good Luck

Better... but still something about the eyes that just seems off to me and I can't put my finger on it.

Thanks for the comments Darryl, Jeromy & Lisa. After looking through the gallery, I've chosen #2, as it stands out more against the other entries. Thanks for all the feedback!

nice shot of the six-line. Those can be a pain to capture well with them moving so much. Unfortunately, even when I do get the chance, my bowfront distorts clarity. No macro either.

Thanks Gretchen & Mike. Yes, my 6-line is a real pain to capture, it darts around soooo fast, & with the macro tube I have, it's all manual focus - but sometimes I do get lucky!! Too bad about the bow - they are beautiful tanks to look at, but hadn't thought about the distortion.
