I know, I know... I should leave this alone... but I'm obsessed! Borrowed a 100mm macro lens from a friend and have started with more shots.

    This is a tough one. My first thought is to stay with my original vote of #1. I like that there are more ripples around the "eye" so it fills the entire picture. However, when I look at number 2 it seems to have more of a dramatic effect. So I think I am going to have to change my vote to your new option! :) Great shot either way!

    #1. It's close, but I think 1 has better symmetry. Very cool shots either way. I'm really getting curious about this macro thing...

    I agree - #1 has great symmetry & #2 seems a tough off-kilter, although I really love the center of #2 - very sharp!
