Any collective criticism would be awesome!!! I have been working with HDR for the last couple months and would like to hear what fellow photographers and designers think of my creations for being a novice to HDR.

Welcome to the forum. These shots look promising but they are presented in such a way as to be difficult to properly assess. You would get much more meaningful response if you presented these pictures as individual efforts and in a much larger size format. This is easily done within the same posting. There are excellent tutorials to help you do this.

I think these look good. If I were looking at these on my computer monitor, with the Photomatix sliders open, I'd push the Highlights Smoothing and Highlights Microcontrast sliders to the right some (generally the Smoothing one higher than the contrast one) to try and bring up the level of the skies to make the pics look a little more natural. Then each one needs some noise relief. I always follow them in the filter Noiseware Professional, but there are several good options, and even Lightroom does OK. Good job.

Very nice, Michael. The larger presentation really helps in showing off your work. I see good composition in these shots. The second one is slightly bunched up on the right of the frame, but it's still a very pleasing shot. I don't shoot HDR myself so I'll leave those comments and critiques to those who do. I will say that these efforts are about as far into HDR as I care for....any more and I think they would border on being too garish for my taste. That's purely a personal preference. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

i'd say you're doing pretty well... in the first series, #3 needs the horizon leveled, but otherwise, very nice. not too overdone, like so many folks seem to do with HDR. i'd agree with Ghinson, in general, these need a bit of smoothing, and perhaps some noise reduction.

i love how you cropped all of these. very nicely composed as well. Di you used a tripod? What's your aperture for all of these images? for me, it looks like you need some more Depth. Just my two cents... But love the composition. well done thumb.gif
