SF Bay Sunset Pano

I took a hike up Mission Peak in Fremont, CA yesterday and captured this pano of the bay at sunset.

For those of you not familiar with the area, that's San Jose to the south (left) and Oakland and San Francisco to the north (right).

    I had no idea one could capture the entire bay area from San Jose to SF from a single vantage point. Great job! thumb.gif

    Thanks! And it's right in your back yard. :D

    We were about 400' beneath the summit (2517') when this series was taken, if we were on top the view would have been even grander and would include Mt. Diablo and the Livermore Valley.

    Wow. Brad really knows the way to San Jose. That's an incredible pano.

    How many shots did it require?
    What I said when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time: "The wide ain't wide enough and the zoom don't zoom enough!"

    I needed 6 shots. The wind was blowing and one of the shots is a little bit fuzzy, but cropped and resized it looks OK.
