Late day light, captured from the bridge to Plum Island

I spent a few hours yesterday afternoon wandering at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. It's a favorite beach walk destination, one that is available for human visits for only part of the year. While the refuge stays open, the beach closes on April 1st this year since it is a nesting area for the endangered piping plover.
As I left the refuge and crossed the bridge from Plum Island back to mainland Massachusetts, the view from the bridge made me stop. OK, OK, I didn't stop on the bridge, but I did pull into the small parking lot at the end of the bridge and I walked back across the bridge, with camera.
The late day light was wonderful.
And did you know that if you are standing on the metal grid of the lift section of a bridge, there is a definite shake and movement of the bridge deck as cars cross?

One of my favorite places to shoot! I've got shots from around there in various galleries.
Love this one! Serene!

Don, it's a favorite place for me too. I do visit (and walk on the wetland side) while the beach is closed, but I prefer the option to walk on both the ocean and the wetland sides of the refuge. March is my "satisfy beach walks at Parker River" time since I know I won't be able to visit the beach after April 1st.
