Cordova Shore Birds Redux

Last spring I posted a few pics after visiting Cordova for the shore bird festival. Here are some more in an attemp to visually tell the story of that weekend.
The birds weren't cooperating the first couple of days. Early on it was drizzly and the birds were in really small flocks.
Good news is that the few that came in were hungry and fairly tolerant if one had a bit of patience.
Most of the birds were western sandpipers.
With a Dunlin or two mixed in here and there.
The least sandpipers tend to hang out more in the marsh and less on the beaches.
Finally the weather improved and more birds started to show up.
And more...

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
