Amazing the fall colors that are showing up. This was such a pretty scene, all different birds here. But at home, there were just too many birds in each shot, so I had to work them up "just right". I thinkj the one above was the most successful as it is less busy?

Below, there is a Kingfisher, I know that is a Kingfisher, on a branch of a bush that is on the left hand side. A tiny thing in the photo. I did what I could, I wanted to have one with the Kingfisher in it. Sure wish I could have made him show up more. These are full frame, or almost. I was using my 400 mm lens, and that was as close as I could get to any of the birds there. The bad thing is that the compression of the scene is more than I would like. The good thing is that I got most of the scene...............

I think the word is dynamic range for white birds at the back and darker birds up front, with colors, etc. ???

At least they aren't all grainy.

That little white thing on the bush is the Kingfisher. Harry, I do need your lens and your tripod for some of this stuff.

Those are white Ibis.

Comments welcome. I put a bit more punch in the colors here.

Oh, thank you dog! My tired, aching body just woke up, again, after the sojourn from 1AM to 5AM............. (I do have some sleeping pills finally to straighten out my inner clock, but I have to have the right time to take them. Last night I fell asleep too early, haha, but didn't want to take one at 1 AM, afraid I would sleep too long. Ambien, FYI, I used to take it, is OK, and it should straighten me out.)

But, Dog, I have been so discouraged on this photography thing. And the photos from yesterday were a major disappointment considering all the opportunities. I can think why they were disappointing, one I shoot more leisurely than these people "walk". Plus other factors.....

But Dog you made me feel better.

That last shot, it was funny. Just looked "ok" when I was taking it, not special, looked just "ok" when I saw it in the PS bridge. But when I brought it up I began to see something special. I tried to work towards that, but was not sure I had succeeded.

    Thank you soooo much!

All are super Ginger, but I love the last one, has sort of a mystic quality to it.

Hope you get that inner clock 'fixed'
