Concert pics in Vienna - my first 'job' :)
Hi!
I want to share a few shots from my first 'job' for a magazin. Payment consisted of free 'all access' tickets for my wife, who wrote a report and made a few interviews, and myself.
It was great fun, and my first time in the photopit, trapped between the crowd and the stage, always keeping an eye on the security guys and my back to avoid some stagediver to destroy my beloved camera.
Here we go, tell my what you think, please...
This was the first band on that evening, Lost Soul from Poland. Never heard of them before:
The next band was from France, Anorexia Nervosa:

The third band was the first one I knew: Rotting Christ, from Greece:
And finally, the headliners: Vader, also from Poland:
It was so much fun, can't wait to get my next assignment!

WOW !!! You did great for your first assignment. I think you did a totally amazing job, you really caught the atmosphere well.
What lens did you shoot with ?
And were the magazine happy with the pics ?

I've been away a few days, but, wow, thank you so much for the kind words!
David, I used the 50mm f1.8. Shot JPEG with ISO 1600, and NO postprocessing applied.
Even tough the place had a photopit, often I wished I had a wider lens, but I needed all the speed I could get. My only ohter lens, the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 DX would have been too slow.
And yes, they were very happy, I let them choose out of over 100 shots.

Andreas
