I recently found an electronic version of Elliot Erwitt's 'Personal Best' book on a trawl through the photography apps on the iPad. What makes it stand out other than the ridiculously cheap price is the fact that the images and text are supplemented by video and audio. It really demonstrates the capabilities of the iPad as a multimedia tool.

The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brook Atkinson- 1951

Thanks for this. I got it last night. As you say, not only are the images wonderful - Erwitt being Erwitt - but it aptly demonstrates how this technology can stretch the possibilities in terms of presenting otherwise static material.
