Originally this was intended as the part of Behind The Scenes series, but eventually got promoted to the "prime material".
I gotta say, this is definitely the way to get yourself involved into a makeup process... rofl

For those looking for the technical details: 5D2 + 24-105 at F4, modeling light (tungsten) from AB with Beauty Dish located left and below the subject. Shot #3 was taken though the mirror she used.

i'd be interested in knowing how you lit this. i been think of doing something along these lines for a while now. ever since i think it was you who did one a few years ago of a girl doing her make up in a mirror and i've wanted to try it ever since.

then, yeah, that was me a few years ago... :-)
There is nothing to it, really. Simply have your subject next to a large mirror and tell her to ignore you (which is not as difficult as it may sound). You'll have plenty of opportunities/angles to shoot around, as I have yet to meet a woman who can do it quicker than 10 minutes... rofl
