Global Rainbow

A special event in Preston this year is the 2012 Guild, and as a precursor comes the Global Rainbow.
The huge beam of light – called The Global Rainbow – is made up of seven parallel beams of high specification lasers representing the seven colours of the rainbow. The giant laser rainbow lighting up the skies above Preston has been hailed as a “world class” attraction that will put the city on the map for the Olympic celebrations. Preston is the only area of the North West to host the laser rainbow, designed by American artist Yvette Mattern.
It has moved to Preston where in a four-night show before heading to Strangford Loch in Northern Ireland to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on the 17th.
Sadly, there were just too many people around to get a really good shot, and it was cold tonight too, but it was worth the trip down there just to show it the family, even if half the families in town will see it too!

Thanks, I'll have to try mine under similar conditions - I like your results, especially the second set.

Question, are the lasers all on at the same time, or are they sequenced and appear simultaneous by the long exposure?

Thank you all. It is nice that our city was selected for this - and good to go and have a look at it too.
