Here is my first "real" astrophoto using my new barn door tracking mount I built.
This image was taken with the Tair 3 300mm Lens set at F5.6. This image is a composition of 12 seperate 10 second images staked using Registax software, them post processed in Photoshop. The images were shot at 1600 ISO.
This is only 12 images, usually, you can take up to 60 images to get the most definition and nebulosity, getting a much "deeper" image. I was excited to start processing, so I only took the 12 images
My tracker wasn't aligned exactly right, so some of the stars are a little oval. I need to buy a polar scope so that I can align the tracking mount just right, I just aligned it by taping a laser pointer to the mount and pointing it towards Polaris.
Well, enough talk, here is the photo. I can see how this can get very addicting!
