50/1.8 does Japanese Gardens

I thought it would be an interesting challenge to do the Japanese Gardens (part of Fort Worth Botanical Gardens) with nothing but my trusty 50/1.8.

    Terrific compositions, Neal. 50mm seems to suit you quite well. That picture of the carp (or koi?) really cracks me up. The great blue heron shot is super cool too, although I would imagine is a huge threat to the fish!

    I like the cherry blossoms. Could probably use a punchier treatment, though.

    Good idea for an exercise, with good results. You have some great compositions indeed. I laughed at the carp shot too--what did he say to you? rolleyes1.gif

    I haven't been to the Japanese gardens since I was in college at TCU. Thanks for a stroll down memory lane.
