.........palm , that is.

Got bored and didn't have any real time to shoot....so ran next door and shot the palm tree. Found a flower at the base of it (name escapes me).

Cheers

How pretty! But odd, I've never seen a palm tree look like that and I've lived in the area my whole life. Maybe not so braggable since I am only 16, but still.

Just a few random facts, but I just thought that it's cool you're in Sarasota and Venice.. I live in North Port and was born in Sarasota, hooray for the locals!

Hey Atom. I'm a transplant. Dropped down from Illinoizzzzz (60 miles West of Chicago). I'm surprised you have not seen a travelers palm that looks like that? ne_nau.gif They seem to be pretty common. The one next door is HUGE!!!! I'm guessing at least 25' tall. It was about 1/4 that size when I moved here, 5 years ago.

    Thanks for taking a looksee.

B'man, I really like the second one for composition, etc. All are good!

If you are a photographer, you can find things to photograph just about anywhere, right!

Thanks for the comments Machinegun, Musketman & Andy. Appreciate you taking a look'n'see. Can't beat nature for color and interesting subject matter.

I didn't use a Nikon/Nikkor glass on these shots, Jeff. If I had I'd have been much more blue like this.
