Shot this at a Renaissance Festival over the weekend. It was a grey and overcast day.

I like the basic shot, but I can't seem to find its right crop/color/whatever

Here are a couple of them. Any suggestions?

I'm torn between #1 & #3. I like #1 because he is better focused on as the subject in the crop but then #3 gives a better illustration of his surroundings and I also like his positioning better. Tough one.

I like #3, with the inclusion of the skeleton.

Gee it's hard to pick one, but I do like the expression on the boys face on the first posting. Also too I like how his hand is. Looks like his fingers are just lightly tapping the boot heel. Hand is too blurry in #2, but I do like his face expression in that one. For me the boy gets lost in #3. Really with a series like this everyone is going to have a different one they like :D

    Thank you for the input.

So it's not just me having difficulty figuring out what to do with it. :D

I like the tighter crop, but it still seems to be lacking something.

I would go with the number 3, the skeleton adds to the pic. and it tells something about the trip.

I think the pic. needs to be leveled it is leaning to the left. I would really darken the background, that will make the center of interest pop out better. I would crop a little off the right of the pic. .. The little guy is looking to his right it would be better if he is looking into the pic.

It is a nice pic. of a really fun day.
