A few from my last studio shoot with gorgeous Kat. There will be one more set from this shoot and that will be it for a while cause my studio rental closed.

My camera lied to me cause I thought I had all the bleed from the gelled BKG lights controlled until I saw them on the big screen but the green got through on a couple. Still, I think Kat looks "kinda nice".:andy

The light angle on three and four creates, to my eye, some relief in the skin texture that may not be considered attractive.

    Thanks Moving.

Can I ask if you're referring to her legs or something else??

Legs ... I think the light angle is exaggerating some skin imperfections. (I'm loathe to be negative about such things, as I think we're often too demanding, esp. on women's skin and the whole artificial beauty thing.)

    I like 1 3 and 4 and 5.
There are a few issues but for the most part I like those shots, she looks good in a suit.

    6 is .....awkward.

Gottcha Moving. Perhaps I should go balance out the shadows a bit. I usually try to leave the model as close to real as possible. I agree with you that the "Barbie" ideal is a false idol.

Thanks Zoomer. As I said, I know about the slight bleed (which was not apparent on the camera LCD) eek7.gif. Anything else you see is fair game, as always. Kat has a "kinda nice" bikini look.mwink.gif

I think # 3 looks a bit odd. Her left leg appears much larger than her right. The lighting isn't in her favor.

I have never shot swimsuit before, but have something in the works. I may borrow a few of the poses here. Thanks for sharing.thumb.gif

It's an angles mistake Jeff, or else some lens distortion. Her legs are equal and, may I say, quite nice.mwink.gif

If you like, go to my full galleries. Between Kat, Cindy and Vanessa there are a fair number of swimsuit poses you might want to shoot.

I wont be shooting swimsuits....but I think many of the poses would be great for what I envision.

    Thanks!...and...stay tuned!:D

John, to me it seems as if your struggling to pose the female form. Most of them are not as flattering as they should be. It really is hard being a man and trying to pose a lady gracefully. Except for 3 & 6 your shooting up her nose.....not flattering. However for me #4 is a great example of a graceful form, nice hand placement, no tenons popping out, great lighting.

As for the Barbie comment.....I've yet to see a lady who didn't want some improvements (who wasn't a top model and even then at times.)
