Homepage Map

Hi,

It seems anytime I start working on changing the appearance of my site it means mixed results with some of the features.

I am trying to establish the homepage map - I have got a Google Maps API key, and entered when requested, but it doesn't do anything. The page reloads and I am still asked to enter a key.

If I click on the Map This button, I am taken to a separate page and geotagged photos are shown there. I'm expecting to see a box on my homepage containing the map.

Further to this I will then be using the box on a separate homepage using customisations which I'm familiar with for Galleries and About pages.

Am I missing something or is there a service problem? I'm seeing a few different queries about this but can't see an answer to resolve.

thanks

    Hi,

Can you, please, give me a link to your homepage? I can check the settings when you do so?

Sorry, meant to do that - photos.liveitseeit.com. I was playing around a little with showing/hiding things last night. Trying to get the map on /discover at the moment

    thanks

You can check these instructions to see if you have the older version of the Google Maps API enabled:

Note that this doesn't seem to work for everyone and we're currently investigating the issue.

That's what I have gone through to get the key. Have tried one with my domain in the allowed referrers, and one with any referrer allowed.

So a few days after trying all of this, the map appeared on my page - but it appears that it, along with the 'Map this' feature are now using something other than Google Maps?

Yes, there's no more need for an API key. Check out Andy's post here.
