Changing Gallery categories?

I first set up my SM with the category of Client as my galleries page.

I would like to change the word Client to something else (say generic Gallery) as Client is no longer representative of what is in there, there are non-clients.

I know I can create a new custom category and probably move each image gallery into there... but what is the impact on existing links? Do they all stop working??

I'm a concert photographer and I have regular updates of links pointing to this client gallery. Any advice would be helpful

Hi Pierre,

In changing the name of a Category, you would want to create a new category and move the galleries into this newly created category. This would tamper with the links you have already created since they would no longer be able to be used by the clients that have the links bookmarked.

In my opinion, changing the category would be the best route, then you can update your clients using the Email Share Feature

Look at the end of the link. If the gallery number and key are there that's where the link will end up
no mater what else is in front of it. So links to galleries should work whether any location change.
