My friend is a novice gluten free baker. She is looking to sell her boutique gourmet bread loaves. She asked me to shoot her breads. That is the extent of BOTH of our exposure to food photography. Please comment away, we are interested in even the basic do's and dont's of food shooting.
THANKS!

Sinner in need of THE Savior. Shooting photo since 6/1/10. Video 24 mos before that. That to say, i (formally) know nothing, please leave out nothing. (2) 1dMkII, G-12, 200 F1.8, 24-70 F2.8. (2) 430Ex2, 430Ex http://www.GunDogFilms.com

#4 - milk seems to take the eye away
#5 seems blown out
#8 Think this would have been better composed horizontally
#9 - as above: crop tighter?
#11 - in my view, the best of the bunch, by miles (or, for us Canadians, by kilometres.)
#12 - made me hungry. Almost as good as #11. I think I can smell cinnamon.
#13 - seems like #11, but not as well lit.
#14 - likey.
#15 - maybe too close?
